About Us

Fighting for those
society
has left behind

A radical abolitionist movement dedicated to fighting systemic injustice and building a city where every person has housing, safety, and opportunity.

Our Mission

Power comes from the people

Philly People of Hope is a radical abolitionist movement dedicated to fighting systemic injustice and building a city where every person has housing, safety, and opportunity. We stand with those who are most often silenced — the unhoused, disabled, and marginalized — and challenge the corrupt systems that exploit them.

Our work combines grassroots organizing, community education, and policy advocacy to hold the City of Philadelphia accountable. From exposing unsafe and inhumane shelter conditions to drafting policies like the Safe Air & Mold Accountability Act, we fight for real protections and lasting change.

Rooted in the belief that power comes from the people, not broken institutions, Philly People of Hope is more than an organization — it is a movement. Together, we are building a future where justice, safety, and respect are not privileges, but rights for all.

Community Driven

Our work is powered by the community, listening to those directly affected and centering their voices.

Amplifying Voices

We provide platforms for the unheard, ensuring their stories and needs reach decision-makers.
